Last Fight: LBGTQ+ Stories is a visual novel in which the protagonist is recruited from the army by a shadow organization claiming to be working for the good of mankind. Our protagonist soon finds out that the organization is not the angelic organization they claim to be, and is assigned on a mission which truly tests her moral fiber. She decides to escape from the outfit along with her lover, but they can’t seem to find each other after she gets away. She settles down for a more normal life with a new girlfriend when a familiar face from the past shows up and makes clear that the past is not yet buried.

Last Fight: LBGTQ+ Stories contains mature themes and prominently features LBGTQ+ relationships, violence, and other themes which could be considered triggering. Player discretion is advised.

Last Fight is really more of a kinetic novel, in that you are sometimes prompted to make a choice, and those choices do have some effect on the story, such as changing how another character acts around the protagonist, or leading to side conversations that would not occur otherwise, but for the most part the story stays linear and you progress through it in a normal fashion. Often you are presented a choice with the option to spend diamonds to unlock the response - these options often lead to side scenes that are not available without spending the premium currency to follow them. This is where Sbenny’s mod comes in handy, since the requirements for diamonds for these choices are removed, and when asked to choose an outfit, the available outfits and hairstyles are also free, thanks to the mod. This, unfortunately, does come with a couple downsides - by removing the diamond requirement from the choices, there is no longer any indication when one of the answers is a “premium” answer, so on a first playthrough it is possible that you miss some bonus scenes by choosing a non-premium answer instead.

The second downside is that while the diamond requirement for choices have been removed, the requirement for keys to unlock each additional chapter has not been, leaving you with the choice to either pay for keys to unlock each chapter, or play one chapter each day, as a key is provided every 24 hours for free.

From the first two chapters, I thought the storyline was pretty good, though even for a kinetic novel, I felt that none of the choices really seemed all that meaningful, and didn’t have much of an impact on the story. I’m more used to the shorter Japanese-style visual novels, where making the wrong choice frequently leads to a bad ending and you spend time backtracking through choices you made, whereas in this game the choices mainly lead to additional content and the story continues regardless of your choices.
