Hot Wheels: Race Off - MOD by PoisonModz

Prepare to race down a stunt track with your favorite Hot Wheels trucks in this fun little racing game. Like the classic Hill Climb Racer, this game uses two thumb controls to control the gas and the brakes, and you race down the track, picking up fuel, coins, and performing jumps, flips, wheelies, and screaming through loops as you try to beat your opponent to the finish line.

This game was discontinued by the developer in 2021, most likely due to licensing issues, as the Hot Wheels brand was featured in a new game last summer that was pretty big on PC and consoles. As a result, you can no longer find this game in the app store, play multiplayer, or get the daily bonus chests for watching ads. But you can still play against the computer and it’s a fun little game.

All of your trucks have many levels of upgrades which improve their acceleration, speed, grip, and fuel efficiency, which is important as even the very first track has some hills that are impossible to climb without some upgrades. You can also get access to a magnet which attracts nearby coins and fuel to you, so that you don’t need to put yourself in danger just to earn the next upgrade. You earn bonuses by performing stunts, which can earn you a daily chest full of goodies to upgrade and unlock the trucks in your stable.

PoisonModz mod is wonderful for helping you experience content. First, all the trucks are unlocked and supercharged, so that they have the power needed to make it through the course. Second, you no longer need to worry about fuel when racing, your truck doesn’t need it anymore. You also no longer have a time limit, allowing you to fully explore a course without needing to race through it, however to get first place you do need to finish the race faster than the previous first place time. The mod also makes the magnet add-on free, so you can easily collect coins, but then, you don’t really need the coins because you can buy the upgrades without having the necessary balance to afford them. Basically, any time you click on an upgrade, if it would wipe out your coin balance, it gives you the upgrade for free. So right out of the gate you can soup your truck up to the max and burn your way through the course.

Of course, you still have to navigate the hills, bridges, and traps the course is made of, and that will take skill more than a fancy engine or grippy tires. Precision control is needed to ascend the hills without losing control and rolling back down or flipping and destroying your truck.

If you liked Hill Climb Racer, I think you would enjoy this Hot Wheels game just as much, and the graphics look great. I highly recommend this game for anyone who likes stunt racing games.
