Review: Dicey Dungeons PAID APK by KSCT

What an interesting and fun game!

In Dicey Dungeons, you take on the role (roll?) of an adventurer starring in Lady Luck’s reality game show - delving through the levels of the dungeon to defeat the final boss. To make it fair (snort) you are transformed into the shape of a die. Defeat the boss and you get a chance to spin the wheel to win whatever your heart desires! Lose, and it was nice knowing you.

You start as the Warrior, and must make your way through six floors of procedurally generated enemies, traps, chests, and traders to make your way to the final boss. Along the way you find equipment which you use to provide your skills. The way combat works is each turn you get to roll a set number of dice. Each class has a skill they can use, for example the Warrior’s skill is the ability to reroll up to three dice each turn. The remaining skills are provided by the equipment - for example, you might have a sword which does X damage, where X is the number of the die assigned to it. You can assign your dice amongst your skills, and then pass the turn to the enemy, when you run out of moves.

Some skills require specific numbers, only work with odd or even numbers, or have a minimum or maximum value that can be used. You only have so many equipment slots available and the real challenge of the game is balancing the damage output of your skills with the complexity of the rolls needed to take full advantage of them.

As you defeat enemies, you will level up, gaining improvements to your HP, number of dice, and/or receiving bonus equipment. You also gain gold which can be used at traders to purchase equipment.

After playing as the Warrior, you unlock the ability to play the next class, Thief, which has the ability to steal equipment at random from the enemy. Finish a game as the thief, and the next class will be playable. And if you do manage to complete the dungeon with a class, then five additional challenges for that class will be available. Can you defeat all 36 episodes? Who will win Lady Luck’s ultimate prize? The game can’t be completely rigged….can it?
